Anima Animus (Sioux)

While Debbie Harry pinches herself to find out if she's really dreaming, Siouxsie Sioux, another iconic sex goddess of yesteryear, returns to the fray. The Creatures - the punk eyeliner queen and long-time partner Budgie - have produced 10 tracks of percussive angst with bags of edgy art school pretension. There are moments of gothic excess (Exterminating Angel), but otherwise it makes for uneasy listening. Keep the lights on.
